Legend has it that coffee was discovered in Ethiopia by a goat herder named Kaldi. He noticed that his goats became unusually energetic after eating berries from a certain tree. This discovery eventually spread across the Arabian Peninsula, where coffee became a staple in homes and coffee houses, known as qahveh khaneh. By the 17th century, coffee had reached Europe, becoming a symbol of intellectual exchange and social interaction.
